MARK & LAW, a Trademark law specialist, has been sold to CABINET DIDIER MARTIN a Lyon industrial property law firm. This strategic alliance has given rise to a group of some twenty specialists in Industrial and Intellectual Property, combining complementary expertise and shared values. It will enable MARK & LAW to offer its clients the benefit of CABINET DIDIER MARTIN’s recognised expertise in patent law, while strengthening its digital resources, and CABINET DIDIER MARTIN to consolidate its trademark expertise.
As when they started out in 1996 on the Charbonnières-les-Bains site, the teams of the two firms are now gathered on a common site in Lyon-Limonest, which reinforces synergies and offers a stimulating working environment.
The legal structures remain independent, the teams are separate, and the names remain the same.
Nathalie Fayette, the founder of MARK & LAW, has decided to sell her shares in the company to devote herself to new personal and community projects. A partnership with CABINET DIDIER MARTIN, a well-known Lyon-based firm whose skills in patent law complement MARK & LAW’s expertise, was an obvious choice. In addition to the complementary nature of their businesses, the two firms, which are of the same size and have been partners for many years, share similar values and a tailor-made approach, as well as a large number of common clients, making them a natural fit.
All MARK & LAW staff and partners will remain in the new team (see photo above), now headed by Manon Laurent, the link with CABINET DIDIER MARTIN. This configuration guarantees a harmonious, lasting transfer that is faithful to the company’s DNA.
Founded in 1996 and with offices in Lyon, Bordeaux and Paris, MARK & LAW has an experienced team of around ten people working in a wide range of intellectual property fields: trademarks, designs, copyright, contracts, personal data, geographical indications, etc. Thanks to its pragmatic approach and expertise, MARK & LAW has built up a loyal and varied client base of entrepreneurs, start-ups and major accounts, and is developing a booming international business.
Also founded in 1996, CABINET DIDIER MARTIN is a renowned player in the field of Industrial Property. Historically focused on the protection of technological innovations, with a team of patent engineers, its practice has gradually been extended to cover the whole field of Industrial Property, offering a full range of services in this area: patents, technology watch, trademarks, designs, contracts, litigation, audits, etc. CABINET DIDIER MARTIN supports a loyal clientele ranging from major industrial groups to innovative start-ups, in France and internationally.
The acquisition of MARK & LAW is part of a growth strategy aimed at strengthening its position in the French and European intellectual property market, increasing its digital resources and broadening its sectoral expertise, while maintaining its provision of highly personalised advice which makes its strength.
